DLA Piper’s Intellectual Property and Technology team has received international recognition for its work this week, after being named Global Firm of the Year at the Managing Intellectual Property (‘Managing IP’) Awards. DLA Piper’s Intellectual Property and Technology practice was celebrated as one of the largest and most effective in the world. Nearly 400 lawyers develop IP asset management and protection strategies designed to assist clients with their IP needs around the globe.
The Managing IP Awards, held last night (March 19, 2014) at the Dorchester Hotel in London, aims to recognize outstanding IP work over the last 12 months. Winners are chosen by Managing IP’s team of editors and researchers, based on research for its proprietary “World IP Survey, a review of market developments, and client feedback.
DLA Piper was shortlisted in four categories: China IP Transactional Work (Foreign Law Firm) of the Year, Europe Patent Firm of the Year, European Copyright Firm of the Year, and Global Firm of the Year.
DLA Piper was commended on the strength of its client portfolio and feedback, as well as the evident depth of our global coverage of IP and Patent lawyers worldwide. This award also follows previous awards in 2013 for European Copyright, Media and Sport law firm of the year and in 2009 as the European Copyright Firm of the Year.
