IMPACT and the National Bar Association has named Radiance Harris one of its “Nation’s Best Advocates – 40 Lawyers Under 40.”  Radiance is an associate in the Trademark, Copyright, and Media practice group in Washington, D.C., as well as the manager for the firm’s premier intellectual property blog, Re:Marks on Copyright and Trademark.  This honor recognizes talented individuals, ages 40 and under, within the African American legal community who have achieved prominence and distinction, both professionally and philanthropically.  Selected nominees represent a cross-section of legal professionals: solo practitioners, government lawyers, judges, academics, corporate counsel, young elected officials, and lawyers using their juris doctor in innovative ways.

Radiance is a talented lawyer, writer, and speaker.  In addition to managing an active portfolio of client work, she is highly involved in the firm culture at DLA Piper. She is also a strong contributor to industry publications, offering her unique expertise in the areas of trademark and copyright law, intellectual property protection in fashion, the developing legal landscape in social media, and marketing, advertising, and promotions law.  Radiance is regularly invited to speak at a variety of events to share her unique and knowledgeable perspective on the role of intellectual property in branding and social media, among other topics.  Radiance stands out as a thought leader in her own right.  Outside of the firm, Radiance is an active member of a number of bar associations as well as her local community where she gives back by mentoring minority students.  She is without a doubt a rising star to watch in the coming years.

DLA Piper congratulates Radiance on this tremendous honor and is proud to see others recognizing her remarkable talent and potential.
